Project Overview
Shifting the Gaze: Stories for a Living Planet is a multimedia storytelling and interactive mapping project that highlights communities creating environmental solutions worldwide.
Inspired by the Environmental Justice Atlas (EJAtlas), the project shifts attention from environmental crisis to environmental possibility through interviews, photography, collaborative visual storytelling, and geospatial mapping. Beginning in Jamaica, Kenya, and the United States, the project will create a public platform that audiences can explore, learn from, and eventually contribute to themselves.
Ultimately, the project seeks to foster curiosity, connection, and hope by amplifying stories of meaningful environmental change already underway.
